The Jazzart Training scheme has been copied by many but equaled by none.

Since 1994 Jazzartuk has been a leader in delivering vocational dance training in Scotland and throughout the uk and Europe.

Director Sheridan Nicol was instrumentsl in forming the Scottish Youth Dance Festival(Y Dance) Dundee Rep Dance Company (Scottish Dance Theatre) and founder /director of Dance Base Edinburgh (National Dance Agency).

For 10 Years she was Resident Jazz Teacher at The Dance School of Scotland and through Jazzart  uk's apprentice scheme was the first project company to produce work for the Edinburgh Festival Theatre in 1998.

Former Jazzart students have forged successful careers in all aspects of the industry from ensemble performers to producers. to date 100% of students have gained entry to schools and colleges throughout the world the majotiry of whom have received full scholarships.

Sheridan Nicol believes young performers from the Shires should heve the opportunity to receive training at the highest level and has been instrumental in providing pathways to our performers of the future.
