Joanne Tulips
MSDTA, Arts Educational Dip.
Joanne is a graduate of the Arts Educational Theatre schools in London. She has been dancing since the age of 3, first with the Clark Theatre School and then the Dance School of Scotland.
After touring professionally both as a dancer and an actress, Joanne set her sights on the launch of her own Theatre Company - Arkeen, now in its thirteenth year. Under this banner Joanne has enjoyed directing and performing in a considerably varied repertory;. Arkeen Theatre produces the Annual Panto at the New Lanark World Heritage village and asks guests of the Hotel there "Who Dunnit?" - as part of their regular Murder Mystery events.
Joanne was assistant choreographer for Cinderella at the Glasgow Pavilion 3 years ago and joined the team at the Palace Theatre Kilmarnock as Choreographer 2years ago. Currently Joanne is the Artistic Director of the Artsnet Outreach and Festival Projects (for South Lanarkshire Council Education Dept.) and Associate Director of the Scottish School of Musical Theatre.

Azumi ONo MacDonald
JAZZ TAP and Classical
Azumi Ono MacDonald is originally from Sapporo in Japan.
At 18 she moved to London to continue
training at the Urdang Academy.
Her professional credits include Dancer in Scottish Opera's
L'Italian
girl in Algeri,Topsy and understudy Eliza in The King and I at
Royal
Albert Hall, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the Universal
Studios
Japan, Ensemble in Miss Saigon UK tour, Original London Cast in
The
King and I at London Palladium and UK Tour.
Azumi has appeared in various musicals and classical
ballet
productions in Japan including principal roles in
Cinderella,Don
Quixote and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Other credits include various pop videos and promotions
for
Soulwax,Ford car and Play Station,Presenter for Lufthansa's Sky
Music.
Azumi has been teaching at various schools in Japan, London, RSAMD
in Glasgow and she is having a great time teaching at the
Scottish School of Musical theatre!

Anne McEwan-Manuel.
Educational Consultant.
ASDTA, B.ed Hons Degree Physical Education with Post Grad in Pastoral Care.
Head of Physical Education/and Dance Academy - Denny High School.
Anne started dancing at the age of three, qualifying to teach in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary and Highland.
After graduating from university, Anne worked for several years as Education Development Officer in Dance for Strathclyde Region. Currently she is proud to be in the driving seat for the development of dance within Falkirk Council schools where she has successfully established the Dance Academy at Denny High School. Combining this role with her position as Head of the Physical Education Department she has been able to truly bring 'Curriculum for Excellence' to life, integrating dance and education in an exciting innovative way.
Anne has choreographed over 40 musicals with many adult companies and worked with the Glasgow Schools Youth Theatre for 12 years which have produced performances in theatres all over Scotland.
As a member of the National Assessment Panel for Dance and an SQA marker for Intermediate and Higher, Anne has her finger firmly on the pulse of the most recent educational developments. She is delighted with the continued exceptional SQA success of all candidates at Jazz Art and is inspired by the achievements of all students on our new HNC Contemporary Dance Course which offers a qualification which until now has been accessible only from a further education establishment.

Gillian Annetts
Drama & Musical Theatre
A former pupil of the Clark Theatre School, Gillian trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, graduating with a BA Dramatic Studies and PGCE (Drama). Her varied career has allowed her to work as an actor, director and choreographer, performing and taking shows, with and for young people, to the Edinburgh Festival, London and USA. She has worked extensively in Arts in Education for Scottish Opera and MacRobert Arts Centre, including presenting educational radio for BBC Radio Scotland. She has been actively involved in South Lanarkshire Council's Artsnet project for a number of years and recently Arts across the Curriculum initiatives. She is currently Cultural Co-ordinator for Glasgow City Council.
